About.

My name is Ben Liggett, and I have the greatest job in the world. My passion is guitar, and I strive to make the finest instruments possible, period. After years of experimenting, I believe I have found a sweet spot in terms of instrument design. Utilizing the best timbers I can source, strategic chambering of guitar bodies, and brass hardware- I have found a level of responsiveness with electric guitars that I am proud of.

Origins.

When I was a young man, I always found it difficult to complete projects, until I discovered my passion: making things. I attended Tulsa Technology Center in High School, studying Machining Technology. After working several years as a machinist in the oil tool and aerospace industry, I was ready for a change.

I received my introduction to guitar making while attending the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, Arizona. I moved back to Tulsa and became a full time luthier at Bishline Banjos, where I built custom instruments for eight years alongside its founder, Rob Bishline- a fellow Roberto-Venn graduate. I now have my own shop, Liggett Guitars, where I build my own line of custom electric guitars, and specialize in custom inlay.

Liggett Guitars is currently based just outside of Tulsa, in Owasso Oklahoma.

How To Order.

It’s easy to get an order started for your custom build. Reach out via email or phone below, and we will begin planning your build, and establish a final quote and timeframe. I will begin work on your guitar once I receive a non-refundable 25% deposit to reserve your spot in the build queue. When the guitar is ready to ship, the final payment is due.
